FreeQurans.co.uk posts free English translations of the Qur'an to non-Muslims in the UK and the US who are curious about Islam. The book and the delivery are both free.
A project of One True Message Foundation, registered charity 1206615.
The Qur'an is the central text of Islam. Muslims believe it is the word of God, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, over a period of twenty-three years. Many people in Britain have heard about the Qur'an through the news and social media without ever having read it for themselves.
FreeQurans is our answer to that. Anyone who is not a Muslim and would like to read the Qur'an can ask for a copy, and it is posted to them free of charge. The translation is Saheeh International, in an edition published by The Quran Project. Copies are sent from local warehouses in the UK and the US.
The website also has a page explaining why people read the Qur'an, a copy you can read online, and a Quran Explorer that uses AI to help you look up verses. The site notes that the explorer may make mistakes.
The free copies are for non-Muslims who are curious about Islam, whatever their reason for wanting to read it. We think the best way to find out what Islam teaches is to read its primary source and make up your own mind. Receiving a copy places you under no obligation of any kind.
There is one free copy per household, so that the books reach as many different people as possible.
Questions about an order can go to the FreeQurans team at freequransuk@gmail.com.
Muslims can use the same website to order a copy for a non-Muslim friend, neighbour or colleague at a reduced price, and it is posted directly to them. You can also buy a copy for yourself.
If someone you know has asked about Islam, you can simply tell them that they can request a free copy for themselves.
Some readers want to talk to someone once they have read the Qur'an. They can ask a question at any time on AskIslam, or ask for personal help through BecomeMuslim.
